Lindsay Sage is a New York City-based admissions consultant and the founder of Sage Admit. She has over a decade of experience in higher education and admissions consulting. She started her coaching career at Columbia University, where she advised undergraduates as an Advising Dean. She then moved downtown to NYU Stern, where she was an Associate Director of MBA Admissions. As part of the Committee, Lindsay actively recruited domestic and international applicants, reading 400+ candidate files and interviewing 100+ applicants, annually. She left in 2015 to start her own consulting firm because she felt that the next generation of business leaders must do better for the world; her role is to help them strengthen their applications and tell their stories in a more compelling, yet still MBA-compatible way.
Lindsay brings a down-to-earth approach to coaching, with a focus on nailing the end-to-end strategy. Her style is to be honest and transparent, while inserting levity and calm into a sometimes-stressful process. She has a particular interest in promoting diversity and inclusivity in business and has collaborated with both ROMBA and Forté. As she enters her seventh season, Lindsay has seen it all: successful reapplications, last minute waitlist pulls, and sub-3.0 GPA’s getting into M7 schools. Lindsay has also helped clients secure over $5M in scholarships.
Lindsay has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree from New York University, both in Psychology. She lives in New York City, and is a proud member of AIGAC, the Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultants.
